![]() ![]() There are a couple things that can make cars easier to drive (max value in Engine Braking and increasing the Power Ramp value in the diff), but apart from this it is only practice, practice and more practice to gain large chunks of time. But that does not mean those setups are appropriate for us common mortal peopleĪnd as a general comment, for most cars and in regular tracks (so not in 24h Le Mans, Monza, Ovals etc), setups do not make a lot of difference, max anyone can gain from them is around 0.5 to 1.0 second per lap. Those people have extremely good car control, so they can afford to use a setup that looks extremely twitchy and difficult for us, but for them it makes absolute sense, because it gives them an extra advantage, without causing them any trouble. When we are talking about setups in popular car/track combos (for example GT3s in RBR), then the top times are done by aliens. Added auto-scroll to a number of info feeds to prevent overlapping text. ![]() But not all top TT setups are like that, many are usable in a race, too.Ģ. Added fuel estimation to Tuning Setup screen and ICM. Some times time trial requires even a bit of luck to nail all corners perfectly, especially with such an extreme setup. This is in addition to my Stax SR-001 headset, which I don't listen to much anymore. I have the QC2, TriPort IE (for my iPod) and Companion 3 computer speakers. I've been meaning to learn to solder anyway.Posted on Tuesday, Febru18:10 GMTNuck, Bose has treated me well in the past. I'm not selling the whole system because the surround sound is already wired with cables running through the walls and whatnot- and i don't want to do that again.worst case scenario, i can just solder a new RCA plug on the end and go back to debating the cost of a complete new system. If that's the case, then i would have to replace the subwoofer but not the other speakers right? Since the digital output would go through the bose link cable to the subwoofer, get processed and then sent out as analog to the speakers.if i'm stuck with it i'm stuck with it, but it's worth trying. Once you hack the cables it starts getting harder to sell them for their value and I'd bet you'll be disappointed in the sound quality without the Bose signal processing. You might be better off selling the system complete and buying speakers designed to be run from a normal amp. I'm pretty sure that Bose speakers have quite a bit of signal processing going on due to their unique designs. Copper is copper, so this should work at least in theory, no?and if this is true, then the same should be possible of the sub and its bose link connector. Is this possible? The negative of the speaker wire should be connected to the outer ring part of the RCA plug, and the positive should be connected to the center pin, so it should be pretty easy to remove the plugs and label the wire + and - myself and run that to the new receiver. Each speaker is wired to the subwoofer through a two-wire cable that ends in a generic RCA plug which plugs into the subwoofer, and then their signals go through the proprietary bose cable to the receiver.what i want to do is hack off those RCA plugs and then plug the speaker wire directly into a new receiver. ![]() ![]() It's actually just a Mini DIN 9-pin connector, with a nonstandard pinout and a $60 pricetag. The problem is since they've bought into the bose ecosystem, everything is proprietary.the receiver connects to the subwoofer - and only the subwoofer, it doesn't connect to the speakers directly - by a proprietary 'Bose Link' cable. ![]() ![]() ![]() There are also options for a crop top, peplum, knee length skirt, and maxi skirt.įrom weddings to hauling your kids to the pool, Wylde has you covered.ĭifficulty: Beginner to Confident Beginner This pattern offers SEVEN sleeve options (plain long and short sleeves, tank option, long and short flutter sleeve, puff sleeve, and a bishop sleeve). ![]() ![]() The first ten combinations are shown using the letter Aleph (א) as an example, with the nikud added. Hebrew fonts for macbook pdf#You can download it as a PDF and print it out for easy reference. In order to make it easy to learn, I’ve created a chart that lets you figure out which key combination to use for each nikud. Hebrew QWERTY can use most of the key combinations from the standard Hebrew layout as well, although not all. Just like Hebrew QWERTY tries to map the sounds of letters, it also tries to map the sounds of the nikud, so for the example above of the kubbutz, the key combination is Option-U (the kubbutz sounds like a U). For example, adding a kubbutz (which looks like three diagonally arranged dots – as in אֻ) is done by typing a letter and then the key combination Option-8. In the standard Hebrew layout, most of the nikud map to Option and a number. In both cases most nikud are added by using a special key combination, usually using Option (Alt) and a second key. For someone who works mostly in English and only occasionally needs Hebrew, Hebrew QWERTY is much quicker to learn.Īdding nikud to text can be done with either layout, although there are some differences. There are some useful shortcuts, like end-letters (in Hebrew some letters change form at the end of a word) simply being Shift and the standard key. Second, there is something called Hebrew QWERTY, which maps the Hebrew letters to the closest sounding letters in English, so for example Reish (ר) is mapped to the R and Nun (נ) is mapped to the N. On the Mac, there are two keyboard layouts you can use for Hebrew.įirst, there is the standard Hebrew layout that is what is used in Israel on all computers. ![]() For general information on nikud, and codes that can be used on Windows, see the Wikipedia article Niqqud. Keep in mind, I use a Mac, so these are Mac-specific instructions. Hebrew fonts for macbook how to#Recently, I had reason to add nikud to a document, and I decided to finally figure out how to add them. In general nikud are not needed for advanced readers of Hebrew, and if you were to buy a Hebrew-Language newspaper or a book in a bookstore, none of them would have nikud, except for when the meaning of the word could not be determined otherwise. ![]() In the above text, the blue marks are nikud. In Hebrew, unlike in English, vowels are written as a series of marks, generally below the other letters. Although using Hebrew on one’s computer is fairly simple, one thing that is not so simple is adding Hebrew nikud (vowels) to your text. I’ve written a couple of articles in the past about using Hebrew on your computer, specifically Finding Hebrew Fonts and the more niche Trick to use Hebrew and Yiddish in Adobe InDesign. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() It will be used as the default method for swim workouts when there is enough data present to calculate. Accuracy Level: sTSS is in Beta, so we are still working through exactly how accurate it is.Intensity Factor (IF) for rTSS: For any workout or part of a workout, the ratio of the Normalized Graded Pace to the runner's functional threshold running pace, which gives the user a relative intensity in relation to their threshold pace.Normalized Graded Pace (NGP): The adjusted pace reported from a global positioning system (GPS), or other speed/distance device, that reflects the changes in grade and intensity that contribute to the physiological cost of running on varied terrain.Run Training Stress Score (rTSS) Explained Further details on rTSS can be found here: rTSS is a metric that can only be used in running workouts, as the algorithm only accounts for the unique physical demands of running. Coupled with the duration of the workout, we can determine an appropriate rTSS score for each workout. In particular, the elements of the normalized graded pace (NGP, see below), relative to the functional threshold pace. Since running pace is a function of power, and for most runners, speed or pace is the measure of greatest interest, we can use the same principles applied in the TSS system to quantify training stress in running. What is rTSS? Running Training Stress Score (rTSS) is similar to Training Stress Score (TSS), but instead of being powermeter based, it is based on pace. TRIMPS CALCULATOR SERIESRequirements to Calculate: Workout time series with pace and elevation data, user threshold pace for run/walk (entered in pace/speed zones).Accuracy Level: rTSS is the second most accurate method of calculating a Training Stress Score, and is the default method for Run workouts when there is enough data present to calculate.Applicable Workout Types: Run only (TSS can not be calculated for bike workouts from speed).Normalized Power, Intensity, Factor, and Training Stress Score Intensity Factor (IF) for TSS: For any workout or part of a workout, the ratio of the Normalized Power to the rider's functional threshold power, which gives the user a relative intensity in relation to their threshold power.Normalized Power (NP): An estimate of the power that you could have maintained for the same physiological "cost" if your power had been perfectly constant, such as on an ergometer, instead of variable power output. By definition, one hour spent at Functional Threshold Power (FTP) is equal to 100 points. It is conceptually modeled after the heart rate-based training impulse (TRIMP). What is TSS? Training Stress Score (TSS) is a composite number that takes into account the duration and intensity of a workout to arrive at a single estimate of the overall training load and physiological stress created by that training session.Requirements to Calculate: Powermeter data file containing time series duration and power data, power threshold (FTP) set in Power Zones section of My Settings.Accuracy Level: power-based TSS (compared to hrTSS, tTSS, or TSS*) is the most accurate method of calculating a Training Stress Score, and is the default method for Bike workouts when there is enough data present to calculate.Applicable Workout Types: Bike or Rowing with Power Meter only.Below are each of the training scores, how they are calculated, and the level of accuracy for each metric. TrainingPeaks uses several physiological metrics to quantify the training stress of a particular workout or portion of a workout. ![]() |
